DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: EDUCATIONAL CENTER BY MR2 ARCHITECTURE

The nonprofit Christian International Foundation Dominicana, work within a rural area “with no social services to speak of” and it is their mission to help the children to break the cycle of poverty through education & spiritual healing. They aim to build a facility consisting of a Children’s Center, Christian School, Church, Apartment, Garage, Water Purification Plant, and Play Area. The New Beginnings Hope Center Project consists of 1500 square meters located in the area of La Urena, Santo Domingo Province. An architecture firm in the USA provided pro-bono design support to this organization by creating an empowering and inviting master plan design in collaboration with representatives of the local community.
