A vocational campus designed to widen who gets to learn a trade.
KIVI Campus Development was proposed as a practical-education environment for young people with limited access to formal training, with particular attention to girls and other groups often excluded from skilled work. Workshops and classrooms are planned together so instruction can move directly between explanation, demonstration, and hands-on practice. Shared courtyards and gathering spaces support peer learning, while administration and support functions remain accessible without dominating the campus.
Journeyman International’s role was to help the partner organization organize vocational programs into a phased, coherent place that can expand as instructors, equipment, and funding become available. The campus would give students access to tools, supervision, and practical training for skilled employment.
