Community Health Partnership–Honduras relies on visiting medical and dental teams, but housing volunteers in Opatoro required dependable space that could also serve the town between brigades. Casa Benito answers with a two-story facility planned for as many as 27 guests, including bedrooms, bathrooms, a shared kitchen, and dining areas. The larger communal spaces are deliberately not reserved for visitors alone: town meetings, celebrations, and other local events can use the building when health teams are not in residence.

These shared uses help keep the building useful throughout the year. Journeyman International supported the design and site-planning work, including the practical realities of grading and construction on the property. The building supports medical outreach and gives Opatoro a shared civic room.
