Koroipita Community Development

Koroipita's next community-development work in Fiji is at the beginning of its design process. Journeyman International's role is to support Model Towns Charitable Trust and a local architectural team through site analysis, program review, sustainable-design strategy, spatial coordination, and feedback on evolving plans. The scope anticipates concept and schematic work rather than a finished construction package, with phasing considered where the larger development needs to grow in manageable steps. Ecological and cultural fit, operational efficiency, local code review, and coordination with licensed Fijian professionals are explicit parts of the agreement.

A site visit and contextual assessment are planned to ground decisions in the place and the people who will operate it. The reviewed Drive material contains agreements but no project-specific design book, program schedule, imagery, or construction record, so the portfolio should remain deliberately modest. The story at this stage is process: local knowledge leads, and outside design capacity helps turn that knowledge into a clearer, reviewable plan.
