The story
A preschool-to-grade-nine campus for Poipet.
Mercy Ministries Foundation proposed a school in Poipet City spanning preschool through ninth grade, with housing for staff and volunteers. The program combines local and international curricula with English, computer learning, music, dance, and sport, responding to gaps in resources, infrastructure, and teacher support within the surrounding education system. Journeyman International’s design challenge was to organize many ages and activities without creating an overwhelming institution.
Classrooms, play, performance, technology, and residential areas need clear boundaries and shared spaces, while accessibility, shade, airflow, sanitation, and supervision shape the everyday plan. The campus would let children continue from preschool into later grades with familiar staff, shared facilities, and support for different learning needs.
