BacharLorai Canada proposed the Sabujnagar Club Community Center as a shared resource for an underserved urban neighborhood in Bangladesh. Its program combines a digital library, cultural center, gymnasium, and flexible multipurpose rooms, bringing educational access, recreation, and community events under one roof. That mix responds to challenges identified by the partner, including the digital divide and the need for constructive, welcoming places where residents can spend time together.
The building is intended to work across ages and schedules: students can connect to information, families can gather for cultural programs, and neighbors can use fitness and meeting spaces without traveling to separate institutions. The available project record does not include a final architectural book or evidence of construction, so the center remains a proposal and its detailed form should not be overstated. Its strength is programmatic clarity—a compact piece of social infrastructure designed to make learning, wellness, and local connection visible and accessible in daily neighborhood life.
