The proposal pairs memorable views and a calm guest experience with employment and a business model intended to return profits to locally identified initiatives. That makes the lodge more than a collection of rooms: arrival, dining, gathering, outdoor terraces, and the relationship to the shore would all need to invite visitors into the landscape while protecting the qualities that make the place distinctive. A climate-responsive design could use shade, natural ventilation, local materials, and modest building footprints to keep operations practical and the lake visible.
The reviewed Drive archive did not contain a final design book, site plan, or construction record for this entry, so the detailed architecture and completion status cannot be confirmed. Still Waters remains an early proposal. Its central idea is a disciplined connection between tourism and community benefit, with hospitality revenue structured to support work and priorities rooted around Burera rather than leaving the region.
