A national youth camp makes room for growth through shared experience.
Youth for Christ Rwanda envisioned its Nyarubuye Village center as an outdoor campus where young people from across the country could meet beyond their usual schools, churches, and neighborhoods. The program blends camps, retreats, recreation, education, spiritual formation, and leadership development, using shared meals, sport, group discussion, and time outdoors to build relationships. Lodging, gathering halls, play fields, quiet reflection areas, and protected paths would need to work as one legible landscape, capable of welcoming different group sizes and schedules. Climate-responsive shade, ventilation, rain protection, safe sanitation, and durable construction are essential to making an active youth campus comfortable and manageable.

It remains a proposal. Its central promise is experiential: leadership and community are practiced not only in lessons, but in how young people live, play, listen, and take responsibility together.
